Training & Presentations

I am deeply committed to helping people understand the autistic and ADHD experience, so they may shift their clinical, agency, and educational approaches to better meet neurodivergent youth, adults, and families. It has been a great gift to have had the opportunity to present to hospitals, schools and universities, professional conferences and clinical teams over the past ten years, and I welcome requests for training and presentations, both in-person* and virtual.

Common presentation topics include:

  • Supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families.

  • Strategies for improving access and effectiveness of medical care for autistic, ADHD and other neurodivergent youth and adults.

  • Somatic strategies to support attunement with and for ND people.

  • Working with complex issues and presentations.

I seek out and include research and resources on BIPOC neurodivergent experiences thoughout my presentations. For longer trainings, and for any presentations directly focused on intersectional neurodivergent identities, I co-present with neurodivergent BIPOC presenters.

If I believe your training request would be better met by a presenter with different cultural and life experiences than my own, I will offer to you some other possible trainers to consider.

*Please know that I limit long-distance travel to reduce my carbon footprint.

A sketch-style drawing of a person speaking at a podium, depicted in profile with short hair and glasses. The drawing is done in pen on an open notebook, with two visible speech bubbles. The bubble on the left reads, “Why are so many non-autistic people also cisgender and heterosexual?” The bubble on the right, coming from the speaker, reads, “How can we hold difference and not make hierarchy?” The scene suggests a discussion or lecture on topics of neurodiversity, gender, and sexuality. The sketch has a casual, expressive quality, capturing the moment in an illustrative style.

"Neurodivergence and the LGBTQ+ Community is a topic mental health professionals are familiar with recognizing in their clients. Finn Gratton’s presentation about this topic gave the 200+ people in the room important information and relevant topics from a factual perspective all presented in a voice of one who lives this experience on a day-to-day basis.  We all walked away with a deeper knowledge of the topic due to Finn’s honesty in showing themselves and their experience of neurodiversity."
